The hills of Egebjerg Bakker, Northwest of Svendborg, are a local and nationally valuable area with a grand nature.
This is why Naturturisme I/S and Svendborg Municipality initiated the project ”Egebjerg Bakker” in 2008, where one of the goals was to develop a plan for the area, focusing on the unique natural and recreational qualities and secure the direction for future initiatives and efforts in the area.
Apart from a concrete agreement on grazing, the project led to a looped path on The Archipelago Trail (Øhavsstien) and a continuing cooperation to make Egebjerg Mill (Egebjerg Mølle) to a information centre to the area.
