Geopark: Keldsnor og Lunden

Today, Keldsnor itself is the geopark's largest beach lake.

Keldsnor is probably a former open bay that was cut off from the sea during the Holocene by the development of a 1.3-kilometer-long curved dune and beach embankment.

Today, Keldsnor itself is the geopark's largest beach lake. A little northeast of Keldsnor, below the forest Lunden, lies an active coastal cliff with various deposits from two Weichselian ice advances overlaid by layered meltwater clay.

The cliff shows an instructive geological section through some of the moraine landscape that lies between the hat hills.
