The coast near Hou Lighthouse is one of the well-known sea trout spots. There are several good places just north of the lighthouse, but the stretch to the south – from the stone embankment at the lighthouse and about one kilometer southward – is especially worth exploring.

Here, one small reef follows another, and the seabed alternates between rocks, seaweed, and short sections of sandbars. Locals consider this spot particularly good in the winter months and early spring, though there’s potential for catches year-round. If escaped rainbow trout are in the area, they often gather here.

At low tide, you can wade even farther south for additional fishing opportunities.
