In the Svendborg area, you can always find good fishing waters – no matter the wind direction. When the wind comes from the north, Lehnskov Beach is a great year-round choice. You can park right by the water.

The stretch westward toward Ballen Harbour is a classic sea trout spot with cliff-lined coast, rocky bottom, and good depth. To the east, the coast flattens out and becomes more sandy, but still offers dark troughs with eelgrass and scattered larger stones. Here, you wade out to the sandbar and fish the narrow troughs with diagonal and parallel casts along the shoreline.

If time allows, try fishing the entire stretch to cover both coastal types – you never know which one the sea trout will prefer on the day.

Best wind direction: northwest to northeast.
