Behind the scenes – special tour every Wednesday during the summer holidays

Are you curious about how an exhibition is created? Then join us on Wednesdays at 1.00 pm in weeks 28–32, when Langelandsfortet invites you inside to see the construction of the new exhibition about the submarine Spækhuggeren. Here, both children and adults get an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes – whilst the exhibition is still being built.

Time: Every Wednesday at 13:00

Meeting point: By the central Dox shelter

Price: Free with admission

Langelandsfortet

Langelandsfortet is open daily from 10:00–17:00

Langelandsfortet is situated on the southernmost tip of Langeland, where it was built in the early 1950s. During the Cold War (1953–1989), Langelandsfortet was responsible for surveillance and military command in the Baltic Sea region. The fort was decommissioned in 1993 and is now part of Langelands Museum, housing a number of permanent exhibitions as well as changing special exhibitions.

Geopark Days in the South Funen Archipelago Geopark

The event is part of Geopark Days during the Ascension Day holiday, when we celebrate the UNESCO Global Geopark South Funen Archipelago with a large, communal festival every year. Here you can take part in outdoor activities, sample local food and learn more about the area’s nature, culture and geology.
