Avernakø Country Hotel

Our Nordic-inspired kitchen puts ingredients from the island at the heart of the menu. We grow some of our produce in our own kitchen garden and also use herbs, plants, berries and fruit from the island, as well as locally sourced meat, including Galloway beef.

Our menu is inspired by classic Danish cooking and changes with the seasons and the ingredients available. We serve a small selection of carefully considered dishes, alongside homemade cake.

At the bar, you will find a selection of drinks including beer from Ø-Bryg at Thurø Bryghus, draught beer and European wines selected in collaboration with Vin med Kant. We also serve organic coffee, Danish apple juice and, when in season, different juices made from fruit and berries from the island. Cocktails and classic drinks such as mojitos, Irish coffee, gin & tonic and rum & cola are also available.

The restaurant is open all year round and welcomes both hotel guests and other visitors.
