Project: Bird Sanctuaries and recommendations (Fuglereservater og Henstillingsområder)

Short description

To secure a sustainable development and protection of Det Sydfynske Øhav (The South Funen Archipelago) in connection to the  Mål 2B-project, Naturturisme I/S took initiative to a signing and information of a number of vulnerable natural areas. It primarily focused on areas with breeding birds, where the locals and guests were recommended not to disturb them during the breeding season.  

Both the bird sanctuaries and vulnerable natural areas are shown on the Archipelago Map which is published yearly by Naturturisme I/S, as well as in the Sea Kayak Guide.

Collaborators: Fyn County and The Danish Nature Agency.
